What was the moment you realize that you wanted to go vegan?

I saw a video my friend had posted about the fur industry and I immediately went vegan overnight.

How long have you been Vegan?

1 year.

Why is being Vegan important to you?

It’s about the entire planet. Human health, the Earths sustainability, treating all earthlings with respect and just learning to love.

What is the vegan stereotype you hear the most and how do you respond to it?

That we are self-righteous. I just say that I’m not sure how it’s self-righteous to put others lives before my own pleasure.

Some encouraging words for new Vegans?

Take it as fast or slow as you need to. There is no such thing as a perfect vegan. Don’t think of losing your favorite foods, think of it as gaining new ones and trying new things.

What does living cruelty-free mean to you?

Trying your best to not contribute to others suffering and not using your dollar to keep businesses alive that profit from exploiting other beings.

What is the toughest Vegan item to find that you need?

Bleach hahaha

Talk about a time when you struggled with your Veganism?

I’ve never struggled as far as wanting to not be vegan, but I struggled with severe depression for the first six months because I didn’t know how to live in a nonvegan world.

  1. I am proud to be the mother of someone so compassionate. It’s really important to support those in our lives that make such a huge step. I’ve changed my habits because of Brin.
