Inspirational Moment: Liza Bosta – Learning Feeds My Passion for Teaching Others

This Inspirational Moment brought to you by Liza Bosta, Antioch, CA.

What has been the most difficult thing you’ve had to go through in your life?

One of my daughters was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder/bipolar type at the age of 9, then attempted suicide at the age of 13. She ended up on a breathing machine and was airlifted to Children’s Hospital in Oakland, CA. We came together as a family and thankfully she survived.
She is now married with a son, and we all work with her to ensure she gets the support and help she needs.

What did you learn from it that you could pass on to someone else?

Mental illness affects everyone differently, but it’s never anyone’s fault. Don’t judge; don’t blame. And definitely, don’t shame!
